Hotel Accommodation (FREE)

It was my personal intent to separate this post, though this was just a part of my complementary dinner yesterday. I just want to convince myself that the puring blessings are just by fate only (nega, haha).

So yeah! while eating dinner, one of the management representatives approached us and explained everything. Everything from the start of the complementary dinner up to the Hotel accommodation local and international all for FREE.

Actually the prizes news was not that surprising, although that thing made us really blessed. Because as I have said the prizes was stated on the raffle coupon, so when they call me and said if I still remember the raffle coupon, I already know the prizes.

By the way, the raffle was hosted by CALTEX GASOLINE STATION sponsored by CLUB ASTORIA with more than millions of affiliated hotels and restaurant all over the world. So being one of the winners, I am very much happy to receive the following freebies:

Complementary Dinner for Two (FREE)

I am not sure if this was caused by my priceless faith or just a sweet concurrent of time (hehe). I have been moaning to the Man up high to give me atleast one chance of winning in all of the contest that I have joined. That as far as I remember it was more than the count of all my fingers from my hands down to my feet.

But I know now that chances may come in a very least anticipation. So next time I will not expect anything in return, atleast my very own experience had taught me (haha).

So yeah, Hubby and I had a wonderful FREE dinner yesterday at Cafe Astoria Sta. Rosa Laguna. Since the place is few miles away from my office, he had to fetch me first and then we went to the Cafe together.

The place was romantically set-up, and buffet was also great plus the fact that we accomodated in a very nice way. We both felt that we really won the complementary dinner that was originally stated on the raffle coupon.

Thank God because we just had our eight months anniversary this 28th of August. So the dinner was came on its perfect time, since the event is just recent we both considered this as our anniversary dinner, for free.

Cheesy Volcano @ Pizza Hut

I am craze with the delicious cheesy volcano offered at pizza hut. Especially the melted cheesy dip to enjoy with the crust of melted cheese itself. So eating cheesy volcano is seems like an erupting volcano that makes my whole appetite go around.

Pastas are quiet good as well. I don't know if this is because of the fact that I do enjoy easting or what. But to be honest, pizza version of seafood pasta is quiet interesting to eat.

Taking Advantage of Photo Booth

I am crazy pretty girl who sadly can't resist the presence of camera and picture taking. But since I wasn't able to take a lot of pictures during Kharen's Wedding due to my unpublished career (lolz). Thanks God because at last minute Hubby and I had 4 crazy shots on a photo booth as part of Kharen and Lhex's souvenir.

I am always on a star-struck in photo booths (haha) I don't know why? But sad to say, I only got one set of picture! sayang!

GT: Weirdest Word

FLAG-FALLEN

Meaning - (noun) unemployed person

Actually, I learned that word very recent, during my conversation with one of my suppliers. He spantenously uttered this word and to my disarray, I asked him what he was meant for that word. Though I knew a bit what we was talking, I still asked him the meaning to make sure.

I am not sure if that word is a form of idiomatic expression or the likes. Nevertheless, that's the weirdest word I learned today. Why? because am wondering of what was the connection between falling flag from unemployed person... ?_?

Overpricing Hospital and a Rude Nurse

Just this Friday (August 12, 2011) 6 o'clock in the afternoon, my sister in law (Ate Peng) was rushed in the hospital due to incomplete abortion. With her 3 months old baby, Ate Peng with my mother-in-law was disquieted themselves to admit Ate Peng to cast at least first aid, because that moment the bleeding was coursing too fast.

SAN JOSE MEDICAL TRAUMA HOSPITAL -GMA is a hospital near to our place. My mother-in-law is quiet relief at some point knowing that there would be a place to first aid her daughter (Ate Peng). But we are so disappointed for the admission personnel statement that they will be needing a down payment of fifteen thousand pesos (P15,000) or else they will not accommodate the patient and we better look for another hospital to assist us. Since my mother-in-law was too hurried and can't think off well, they immediately texted us - the rest of the family to help Ate Peng with her expenses. When I received a call from Hubby, and told me about the down payment issue, I decided to go there and talk the hospital personnel since I knew that they are asking is too illegal.

Apparently, they we're really rude us, and again the nurse named DEL ROSARIO ROBERT or Aldrich the way his co-workers call him, uttered "IF YOU WANT, YOU CAN TRANSFER THE PATIENT, THAT'S OUR POLICY" (he was referring to the down payment issue). But because we don't want Ate Peng to suffer, we forced ourselves to provide the down payment they we're asking. So both parties agreed to do the procedure (D&C Dilation and Curettage), but to our surprised the doctor who will do the procedure was scheduled to arrive in the hospital at 9pm. Imagine the bleeding patient was confined between 5-6pm but and we need to wait for the doctor to arrive at 9pm. Godsake! We found out that there are no resident doctor on that hospital (grr.)

I was posted my disappointment to this hospital through my FB account. I was surprised that I've gathered many comments or should I say complains as well to this said hospital. If only we have knowledge on what kind of hospital it was, we didn't dare ourselves to go there at all, not even seeing them.

Take note, our total bill for one night only was P37,000. With P16,800 PF and the rest was allotted for hospital services and medicine used during the D&C procedure. Beware of this kind of hospital!

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis...

Yeah, thats the latest word I have learned (thanks to my dearest husband, for sharing this word to me.) That word has been part of his everyday assignment to his students to discover a new word and its meaning, and that would be presented in front of the class.

A little bit of trivia:

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis (pwee! hihi. I can't read it fast, aren't you?) was declared as the longest word in english, and it contains 45 letter-word. This word alleged to mean a lung disease caused by the inhalation of very fine silica dust, causing inflammation in the lungs. A condition meeting the word's definition is normally called silicosis. (according to wikipedia).

Can Tawa-Tawa Really Cure Dengue Fever?

I've been hearing thoughts and positive feedback regarding the weeds called tawa-tawa. I don't know if you are familiar with this weed or even not so sure if you ever encountered hearing this words. Actually this weed hooked my attention, because of the medicinal contributions may caused to dengue fever victims, attested to me by the victims of dengue themselves.

According to Botany @suite 101 site, and they quoted "No guaranteed formula has been known to cure the fever caused by dengue, not until a weed called TAWA TAWA" from the Philippines has been proven to do so". Some researches have proven as well that tawa-tawa is the best help to increase platelet. This research was made by the students of St. Mary's School who was awarded first place during Student Research Presentation organized by the College of Agriculture on March 6 2011 at Xavier University - Ateneo De Cagayan.

But what do tawa-tawa contains that can cure dengue fever?

Tawa-tawa has natural enzymes within that stabilize the membranes of the blood vessels, preventing internal bleeding. Actually, tawa-tawa does not fight dengue virus, it only promotes the development of blood platelets and softens the effect of the dengue virus.

So, whatever this weed called tawa-tawa may brings, I only know one effective way to cure dengue and even the most dangerous illness all over the world. This is PRAYER!

He's In Pain Again

I know that I shouldn't ask God for all the pains and sufferings He's causing to Josiah. But I can't help myself questioning Him. I feel so sorry becuase I know I shouldn't have called for an answer on what was happening on my nephew, for there's always a reason for everything. 

There we're no final findings as of this moment. But as per symptoms arises, they have been suspecting for dengue again (am praying for a false dengue findings). Because last year, Josiah had the same illness, he got stage 3 dengue and it kills me seeing him pained (that was posted here). I don't want to see another hurt and tears on his eyes again, I am praying for the goodness of the Lord. Please give your prayers to my nephew once again.

After all, I still believe in the power of prayer, for I know by God's healing hands Josiah is now on the process of healing.

GT: Favorite Word

What a nice topic here Ms. Kaye (hihi) clap clap clap!! I am pretty sure that there will be more entries for this month, well as always naman eh!! hihi

Anyways, here's my entry:

I admit that even my moody attitude makes me irritated at some point in time. That is the reason why I often use the word "AMBOT". On the other, saying that word doesn't always mean of I am getting irritated already, sometimes I use the word AMBOT to end up a certain conversation, even with or without any reasons at all.

MEANING:

AMBOT is a visaya word means (somelike) "EWAN". Since not everyone knows that word (not until now), I guess that's the safest statement I could ever divulge. This is also for the sake of being polite, because saying EWAN is somehow being a rude, right.

My second usable and favorite word is "CHAR" short for Charing. I don't think if I can find the exact meaning of this word, for this is not a proper word actually. But am pretty sure that everyone knows this. Oh! by the way, that is I guess a gay lingual word, yeah!! It is..

Why Not? Donut!

Before I begin, allow me to say THANK YOU MAR!! for giving us a bunch of donut! you surely made us happy and made us full, burf!! @_@.

Doughnut or donut, is a fried dough food ans is popular in many countries especially here in the Philippines. It most common to prepare in sweet that can be made at home, or simply purchase in bakeries or supermarkets near you. They are usually sweet as I have said, deep fried from a flour dough, and shaped in rings or flattened spheres that sometimes contain fillings.

But didn't you know that donut is considered as one of the worst foods as declared by DOH, why? because it contains trans fat for about 35 to 40 percent. An average donut will give you 200 to 300 calories mostly from sugar and few nutrients. So remember anything too much is bad, so eat normal and healthy.

There's A Rainbow Always After The Rain

This is just a quick post, I would like to say a little prayer for our country and the rest of the countries around the world. I been reading news online and saw what's happening in Metro Manila. Classes are suspended, some workers all over NCR had their early time out, businesses have been affected due to continuous rain falls.

Upon reading this post, I am begging you to pause for a while and agree on my prayer.

"God, we pray for those in National Capital Region and the rest of the country as well as the other countries facing the ravages of Typhoon and too much rain. We pray that you will preserve lives through this torrent. Ease the damages of the storm. Give wisdom to officials and those working to prepare residents help in recovery. Use this entire process to bring people to trust you in the midst of the storm! These our prayer in the of Jesus, Amen!"

 

Let us all believe and claim that everyone will survive! Stay safe everyone!
